Islamic Selected Passages- Lesson 17: What is the righteous deed, and when is a person charged to do it?

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Praise be to Allah, The Lord (The One and Only) of the Worlds, and blessings and peace be upon our Master Muhammad, the Truthful and the Faithful.

The righteous deeds that bring you closer to Allah are countless, even if you have no money. Here are some examples:
It is a righteous deed to show someone his destination if you know or to drive him if the place is far away. Also, advising someone for the Sake of Allah, The Almighty, is a righteous deed. Conveying to your wife, your children or your brothers in faith in the weekly evening you spend together the interpretation of an Ayah that you have heard during the Friday Khutbah is one of the greatest righteous deeds. Doing this is in fact Da'wah, since it is Fard 'Ayn on every Muslim within the limits of his knowledge and among those he knows.
Well, setting a bowl of water for the cats to drink is a righteous deed. What can I say? Actually, you can do a righteous deed whenever and wherever, at home, at work, on the road, at bedtime, and in the morning. A sick person himself is a righteous deed!
